The Future Radio and the Artificial Pigeons [Final] [Laplacian]

2061, Japan.

Mankind has misplaced the sky, and with it, its connections.

All of it was taken away by birds…
…By numerous synthetic pigeons flying via the sky.

The synthetic pigeons have been initially created as a worldwide wi-fi community that covers the whole globe.
But in the future, they turned and started to eat the identical airwaves they have been meant to hold.
They feast on radio waves, breeding uncontrollably till they’re the solely birds left in the sky.

The very first thing humanity misplaced was its communication community.

This brought on nice turmoil in a digital world that had already transitioned away from analog expertise.
All data despatched via radio waves was rapidly blocked.
Even airplane control methods stopped working, rendering them unable to securely land.

The day the pigeons turned, eight planes fell round the Nariyama International Airport.
With all remaining planes grounded indefinitely, the airport was deserted.

And so, mankind misplaced the sky.

But then, 15 years after that fateful day…

In an try and reclaim humanity’s reference to the sky, a younger tinkerer constructs a new form of radio…

…A radio that mysteriously receives broadcasts from the future.
